Analytics
Solidgate Hub analytics is designed to offer comprehensive insights into different areas of payment processing, risk management, and subscription services. It enhances awareness, supports informed decisions, and provides numerous opportunities for business optimization:
- Risk management
By analyzing dispute rates, refund rates, and fraud rates, businesses can adjust their risk management strategies to minimize losses.
- Customer experience
Understanding decline reasons and cancellation patterns can help improve the customer journey and reduce friction in the payment process.
- Financial planning
Gross volume trends and approval rates provide valuable data for financial forecasting and planning.
- Product development
Insights from subscription analytics can inform product development and pricing strategies.
- Operational efficiency
Identifying common issues in payment processing can lead to improvements in operational efficiency and cost reduction.
The analytics focuses on four main aspects located in the corresponding Hub sections:
Payments- Payment analytics
- Card risk analytics
- APM risk analytics
- Billing dashboard
Each category of analytics offers unique insights into a particular aspect of payment processing. To get a detailed or focused view for analysis based on specific business needs and areas of interest, you can:
- Customize graphs with date ranges, currency, and other filters for more precise analysis
- Hover over graphs to view detailed information for specific periods
At the top of the page, there are three cards displaying key summary metrics:
- Orders count – the total number of payment attempts during the selected period.
- Success orders count – the number of successfully completed and settled orders.
- Gross volume – the total successful transaction volume from settled orders.
After the summary cards, there are two key charts that help you monitor approval trends and track payment declines and their reasons.
- Approval rate and Approval volume
This chart shows how approval rate and approval volume correlate over time. You can identify how changes in approval rates may affect overall transaction volume, or vice versa.
Approval volume focuses on orders approved at the authorization step, using the authorization date but Gross volume tracks total settled transactions by settlement date. - Decline structure
The decline structure chart shows a detailed breakdown of failed transactions, including decline reasons, codes, percentages of total charges and declines, and count per decline type. This information is essential for identifying common transaction failure points and areas for payment process optimization.

VAMP
rate
This chart gives merchants a clear view of their risk metrics under Visa’s new monitoring framework. This visibility helps businesses track their compliance status, identify potential issues, and take proactive measures to stay within acceptable thresholds. - Fraud rate
The chart compares fraud rates between Visa and Mastercard. It is important to note that these statistics are calculated monthly and only include data from payment schemes with fraud alerts and banks that export full fraud data. This information supports understanding and mitigating fraud risks. - Dispute rate
This chart compares dispute rates across different card networks over time. It helps identify trends or issues specific to certain card networks, allowing businesses to take targeted action if needed. - Refund rate
The chart displays refund trends over time and serves as an indicator of customer satisfaction, product quality, or potential fraud. Sudden spikes or consistent increases in refund rates may signal issues that require attention.
The APM risk analytics dashboard helps you monitor the key risk metrics related to APMs. It provides a clear overview of claims, disputes, chargebacks, and refunds over time.
The dashboard includes the following metrics:
- Claim rate
This chart shows the total claim amount divided by the total sales amount in the chosen currency over the previous three months. When hovering over the chart, you can see the claim rate and claim amount for the selected period. - Dispute rate
The chart shows the total dispute amount divided by the total sales amount in the chosen currency over the previous three months. When hovering, you can view the dispute rate and dispute amount. This metric helps track and analyze dispute trends specific to APMs, which may differ from traditional card payment disputes. - External chargeback rate
The chart represents the total number of chargebacks divided by total sales in the current month. When hovering, you can see the external chargeback rate, chargeback count, and chargeback amount. - Refund rate
This chart shows refund activity over the selected period. When hovering, you can view the refund rate, refund count, and refund amount. This metric allows comparison of refund patterns between APMs, helping identify customer behavior trends or issues specific to certain payment methods.
- Overall
The Overall tab gives a complete view of your subscription performance. It helps you monitor growth, track important metrics like active subscriptions, trials, and MRR, and quickly spot changes in customer activity or business trends. - Revenue
The Revenue tab helps you understand your financial performance. It reveals how subscriptions generate recurring income, how retry logic supports revenue recovery, and where gains or losses occur for better forecasting and business planning. - Retention
The Retention tab helps you evaluate customer loyalty and subscription stability. By analyzing how long customers stay active, you can identify drop-off patterns, measure lifetime value, and improve renewal and engagement strategies. - Product
The Product tab helps you measure the performance of your offerings. It shows which products drive revenue and adoption, helping you make informed decisions about portfolio management, product focus, and future development.
