Buy now, pay later (BNPL) is a type of short-term financing that allows consumers to make purchases and pay for them over time, with no interest.
Solidgate is now fully certified for PayPal's Buy Now Pay Later. As a result, merchants with a legal entity registered in the EU and a PayPal account can now use PayPal’s BNPL with Solidgate.
The feature is live in 7 countries: Austria, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, the UK, and the US. All you have to do to start using it is activate the "PayLater" button. No additional compliance is required, the pricing is included in PayPal fees.
The end-user gets the opportunity to pay in instalments in a trusted, familiar way. While the merchant attracts more shoppers, increases customer loyalty, and gets the full cost of their product or service risk-free.
The payment can be split in 3/4 payments (depending on the location), interest-free.
This feature is only available for one time payments, the purchase amount range is also depending on the location.
