Principle of operation
-
Selection at checkout
Customer selects BLIK Pay Later as the payment method at checkout.
-
Payment initiation
Merchant sends a payment request to Solidgate with
payment_method
blik-bnpl
. Solidgate returns a redirect URL in pay_form
return_url
.
-
Redirect to BLIK
Customer is redirected to BLIK's hosted payment page (Płacę Później). No BLIK code entry is required on the merchant's checkout. BLIK evaluates credit eligibility and handles approval transparently.
-
BLIK Pay Later confirmation
Customer reviews the deferred payment terms and confirms the purchase on the BLIK page.
-
Alternative BLIK option
On the same BLIK page, the customer can also complete the purchase with standard BLIK by selecting Zapłać Blikiem and entering a six-digit code. Solidgate notifies the merchant of the final payment outcome regardless of which option the customer chooses.
-
Merchant notification
Solidgate sends a
notification
Webhook
confirming the final payment outcome.
BLIK Pay Later is an asynchronous payment method. The order
status
remains
processing
until the webhook is received. The BLIK Pay Later session remains open for 18 minutes. If the customer does not complete payment within this window, the order is
declined
.
